God's love CONTEST

THEME

The theme of the contest is GOD’S LOVE

Love is one of the primary characteristics of God. Likewise, God has endowed us with the capacity for love, since we are created in His image. So this contest will be about God’s love, His agape love. An unselfish, unconditional, unchangeable and pure love. Feel His love in your life and let your imagination flow for this contest

In the artist’s comments you have to explain—in a few words—what you want to express with the artwork you make. And you have to include a bible verse (if it’s applicable) that fits what you’re trying to express. The bible verse can be in the deviation or in the artist’s comment, that’s up to you.

MEDIUMS ACCEPTED

This contest is open to ALL KINDS OF MEDIA! i.e. All traditional and digital drawings/paintings, photography, sculpture, designs, illustrations, photomanips, fractals, literature, film & animations etc. ect. etc... all kind of media!

RULES

---You have to read THE RULES, these apply for all categories---

The work must reflect the theme in some way.

It’s an OPEN CONTEST. You don’t need to be a member to participate.

You can join with up to two (2) entries however, only one can win.

If you submit 2 entries, one of them must be a NEW work.

You have to credit all the resources or references you used (if you used any)

All entries must obey all of DeviantART policies and rules

Every entry has to follow the ‘submission requirements’ section of our Submission Guidelines

The deviation must already be in your deviantART gallery at the time you submit your entry. So don't submit literature entries as text in the note or host it on another website and link it here.

The deviation's description must mention the contest. Write in the artist’s comment that your deviation is an entry for the Jesus-loves-You ( :dev Jesus-loves-you: without the blank space ) contest and provide a link to this journal.

Donors can participate in the contest.

The Artwork must be a Finished Piece (not WIP - work in progress).

****note: if you're going to send an entry for the literature category make sure to send something short (no much more than 3100 words if it's a story).

It will be judged on:

--- Creativity & Originality: Did you do something that required thought, or did you go with the flow? Did you strive for something truly unique?
---Theme (Successful Interpretation of the Theme)
---Neatness
---Use of colors (doesn't apply to all categories)
--- Emotion: Does your entry evoke an emotional response?

HOW TO ENTER

To Enter:

---Send us a note with the following information:
In the Subject box please put 'CONTEST ENTRY'

---In the note itself:
Title of deviation
A link to the deviation
A thumbnail of the deviation*

(your entry will be added to this folder --> jesus-loves-you.deviantart.com… if you’re a member, you can submit your entry to the group gallery too if you want)

*To attach a thumbnail:
1. open the deviation from your gallery
2. On the right side of the screen, in a section called 'Details', there will be a box with 'Thumb' above it
3. Copy the code which is in the box and then paste it into the note where you normally type.

DEADLINE

deadline: February 1, 2012. That gives you 3 months and a few days to get inspired!!

The judging will start in February 2, 2012. Coincidentally in the month of love
